here’s a fake article

They had me write an article about the Capitol shooting at the Student Media thing.  Then they gave me free pizza and things.  Needless to say, they’re pretty cool.

Shots rang out today near the Capitol building as a routine traffic stop became a deadly shooting.

At about 5 p.m., Capitol Police chased, shot and killed an unidentified person who fled from the routine stop in his or her car. Upon exiting the vehicle, the person was deemed a hazard and was shot.

“The person fled with a weapon, did not comply with orders to drop the weapon, fired at officers and was shot and killed by the officers,” said Capitol Police Representative Kate James.

James refused to supply any details of the shooter’s identity.

Two police officers were hurt: one by the fleeing suspect’s vehicle and one by a weapon used after the suspect left the vehicle. According to James, they received only minor injuries.

At this time, the suspect’s intentions to use the weapon, if any, are unknown.

Myself

July 12th, 2009

I’m determined to track this weeklong experience, even if I had to wait until it was almost over to get an opportunity to do that.  I’m Andrew Balliet, and I’m from Washington.  Pennsylvania.  I go to Trinity High School, and I’m going to be a senior, which I’m still getting used to saying.  I’m deeply involved in a few things that people don’t care about, and not at all involved in anything that people do.  Our newspaper is printed in black and white on 8 ½ by 11’s.  We’re not allowed to try to get ads.  Really.  In reality, I’ve just been working hard to get noticed by a sweet school.  Boston would be sick.
